Topic Selection

If you are still having difficulty selecting a topic after following the suggestions discussed in the resources listed in the "Writing Seminar Papers" box, consider reviewing the following resources. You can also contact a reference librarian to ask what resources exist in a general subject area.

Circuit Splits

In Bloomberg Law, type "circuit splits" into the main search bar. This will pull up circuit splits that have been reported in U.S. Law Week each month.

Legal News
  • Bloomberg Law: Select the "News and Analysis" tab underneath the search bar and then select Bloomberg Law News.
  • Law.com: This resource contains legal news and analysis.
  • Lexis+: Click on the cube in the upper left corner. Select "Law 360."
  • Lexology: Lexology provides access to articles written by law practitioners and service providers. You can sign up to receive periodic emails on your areas of interest.
