Welcome to the Marvin & Virginia Schmid Law Library.
COVID-19 has brought about some changes in our physical space and services. This Guide provides policies and procedures to help members of the College of Law community, UNL community, and general public navigate use of our library during these challenging times. Please refer back to this Guide periodically; any changes resulting from updated COVID-19 issues will be reflected here.
Policies related to members of the College of Law community are found in this tab. Members of the UNL community and general public should consult the appropriately labeled tabs.
Study Room General Policies
Study Room Checkout
We have implemented a virtual check out system. You may still reserve a room for up to 4 hours per day, but in lieu of signing up on the paper sign up sheet, you now reserve your room through the University of Nebraska Reservations & Events System: https://unlscheduling.nebraska.edu/
If you are unfamiliar on this system works, instructions are available at the Law Library Circulation desk or from the pdf in the bottom of this box.
Study Room Changes
We have made some temporary changes:
No eating in the library. Drinks in spill proof containers (mask off quick drink; mask back on) are permitted.
Please observe social distancing sitting in designated spots and not moving/rearranging chairs.
For your convenience & use, disinfectant spray & towels are located throughout the library to facilitate cleaning your study space.
Printing is no longer available. All Wepa printers are now located in the Student Lounge.
Please adhere to the marked traffic flow patterns in the library.
